SouthGlenn's Holiday Season Is on the Calendar: Parade Nov. 20, Feztival of Trees Nov. 19–29 |
SouthGlenn's calendar lists the Grand Holiday Parade for Friday, Nov. 20, and the Feztival of Trees for Nov. 19–29. Here's how the dates line up and where to find the details. |

Look one week ahead
Some weeks are about what's happening right now, and some are about getting a head start. This is the second kind. The Streets at SouthGlenn has posted its holiday-season lineup on its official events calendar. Two of the biggest listings arrive just after this issue's Nov. 11–17 window. If your household runs on a shared calendar, now is the time to pencil them in.
Grand Holiday Parade: Friday, Nov. 20
SouthGlenn's calendar lists the Grand Holiday Parade for Nov. 20, which lands on a Friday this year. A parade at the end of a workweek and school week is easier when you decide early who's coming, who's driving and whether dinner happens before or after. Each listing on the calendar links to its own page. Check the parade's page for start time and day-of details as the date gets closer.
Feztival of Trees: Thursday, Nov. 19, through Sunday, Nov. 29
Yes, that's "Feztival" with a z. That's how the name appears on SouthGlenn's calendar. The listing runs Nov. 19 through Nov. 29, an 11-day stretch that opens the day before the parade and wraps up on the last Sunday of the month.
A run that long gives you options. You could plan a weeknight visit, a stop on parade day, or a weekend outing with out-of-town family later in the month. The event's own page, linked from the calendar, is the place to check hours and any admission details before you go.
Already underway: Street Smarts
One SouthGlenn listing has already started. Street Smarts is posted on the calendar as running from Aug. 1, 2026, through April 30, 2027, so it spans this week and the whole holiday season. Its listing on the SouthGlenn events page has the full description.
A quick planning note
The two holiday listings overlap on Friday, Nov. 20. That is the one day when both the parade and the Feztival appear on the calendar. If you'd like to fit them into a single outing, that's your day. If you'd rather keep parade night separate, the Feztival's other ten days leave plenty of room.
For this week, two calendars to keep open
For Nov. 11–17 itself, two official calendars are worth bookmarking:
The Arapahoe Libraries events calendar carries hundreds of listings, with separate sections for Signature Events and Author Events.
The City of Centennial events directory collects city and community listings in one place.
However you spend the next couple of weeks, here's to a season that starts with a little planning and plenty of neighbors. See you on the parade route, or by the trees. |

Never been to the Feztival but that name cracks me up. Who came up with "Feztival"?
Parade on a Friday will make parking a nightmare at SouthGlenn. Go early!
Appreciate the tip on the library events. Those get busy around the holidays too, especially the author talks.
We've done the parade before and it's always crowded but really brings the holiday spirit. Good idea to plan ahead for dinner!
Anyone know if the Feztival has any admission fee? Didn't see details yet. Would bring my nephews if it's free or affordable.
My kids love anything with decorated trees. We'll aim for the Feztival after Thanksgiving with the grandparents visiting.
Thanks for the heads up! I always forget to check the city calendar until it's too late. Just added the parade to our shared Google calendar.
Street Smarts sounds interesting but 2026? Did I read that right?
We usually go to the parade but didn't know about the Feztival before. Might try to fit both in this time since they overlap!
Feztival of Trees was a fun surprise for us last year, so glad it's back. Hoping to swing by midweek when it's less crowded.
